Pathway Automation System

The Pathway Automation System is designed to manage the building so you or your staff don't have to.

The Pathway Automation System is a management system that was developed with the intention of AMX Controller NI-700allowing buildings to run themselves - completely automatically.  It sounds far fetched but Pathway quite literally manages the building for you.  All you need do is arm and disarm the alarm system, Pathway will take care of the rest.

The idea behind Pathway was to have one piece of equipment that controls, manages, and monitors other 'off the shelf' pieces of equipment. Pathway looks at the operation of the building as a whole, and co-ordinates the systems and services within the building to suit the occupiers.

To function correctly, Pathway relies on information from every system it is connected to.  It uses this data to manage the building.  Alarm System Status, movement, door status, temperatures, Time, Date, Month, Lat & Long, Lighting Channels, Buttons, Room Usage, which PC's are running, UPS and Power status are just a few parameters it monitors.

Pathway doesn't mind whether the buiding is Residential or Commercial, it will adapt.

Size isn't really an issue. Pathway can be scaled from the baby Pathway 700 Kitset designed to manage small Apartments/Dwellings and Offices (around 10 Rooms) to the larger Pathway 4100 system which is comfortable with large homes and Offices (around 60 Rooms).

Still not big enough?  Pathway Multi-Controller is under development and uses multiple controllers which share information. Got a 50 storey building? No problem!

Pathway is actually a piece of software lives in a small black box (an AMX NetLinx controller) which communicates with the various building systems through a range of communications networks. Pathway's flexibility derives from the superb design of the AMX NetLinx controllers, their versatility and the software that it's running on it.

The Pathway Automation Software is designed to be adaptive and very flexible. It is completely at home with both Residential and Commercial Systems, and will connect to and manage a multitude of Systems.  Obviously this doesn't just happen, there are a few things that need to be put in place first. Pathway was developed to talk to standard off the shelf equipment, so as long as the compatible equipment is in place or specified, no problems.

Pathway is made up of a multitude of software modules which communicate with each other, and the outside world.  Sharing data allows the 'building' to react to the occupiers as they use and move around the building.

The key to any good system is it's ability to let somebody know when something goes wrong.  Pathway now has email communications as standard and the ability to use SMS texting with an additional module.
